A Special Tribute Honoring
Rabbi Marla J. Feldman

Rabbi Marla J. Feldman became the Executive Director of Women of Reform Judaism in 2012. From planning a year-long celebration of WRJ’s Centennial to strengthening our financial infrastructure and reimagining our mission statement, and organizational branding, Rabbi Feldman has made a mark on every aspect of WRJ’s work. She has been an inspiring leader, a friend, and a colleague. We wish her Mazal Tov on her retirement.

"Rabbi Feldman’s retirement will be a bittersweet moment for all of us at WRJ. During her tenure, she has challenged us to embrace new opportunities and move in new directions, even as she has upheld our historic mission to embrace the power of sisterhood, engage women fully in Jewish life, and lift up the voice of women to seek justice for all."

- WRJ President Sara B. Charney

Philanthropy Inspires Women to Fund Innovative Ideas Worldwide

Marla’s tenure has moved WRJ in powerful ways. Within philanthropy, she has made a huge mark with the YES Fund, Ner Tamid, and the newly-renamed Rabbi Marla J. Feldman Social Justice Fund.

Social Justice Work is Embedded in Our Mission

Marla is recognized as a social justice champion in the Reform Movement and within WRJ. She helped WRJ women to identify opportunities to speak out about abortion access and reproductive health and rights, empower Jewish professionals to negotiate fair pay through the Reform Pay Equity Initiative, and ally with survivors of sexual harassment and assault through our WRJ says STOP initiative.

Immersive Travel Experiences Sparks Our Connections To Each Other

Marla led WRJ to the Wilkenfeld International Women’s Leadership Seminar and to the Civil Rights Journey. The value of immersive, meaningful, educational experiences will continue forward for many years to come!

WRJ Launches New Branding

During Marla's tenure, she led the effort to update at our current branding and messaging and modernize it for the 21st century.
